Cancun Vacation

Cancun is a dream destination for American office workers, much like Antalya or Hurghada for our compatriots. This resort has all the ideal characteristics to become your laptop’s desktop wallpaper. Indeed, it boasts white beaches, turquoise waters, emerald palm trees, and tanned women in bikinis. However, this Caribbean resort offers tourists much more than just a beach holiday.

Entertainment and Attractions
All of Cancun’s significant attractions are linked to Mayan culture. The most famous site is the ancient city of El Meco, the ruins of a former port city dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries.

About 25 km from the city center is the El Rey archaeological site, which includes a complex of ruins with a Mayan temple, an ancient observatory, and the burial site of important members of the community. The Cancun Theater, located at kilometer 4 of the hotel zone, hosts performances featuring traditional music and dance. Local artists can be seen at the House of Culture. The Museum of Popular Art, located at kilometer 4 of the resort in the Embarcadero entertainment complex, features an interesting and extensive collection.

Cancun is convenient for trips to the famous ancient cities of Chichen Itza and Tulum. At the interactive Cancun Aquarium, guests can not only swim with the fish but also feed the marine predators. At the end of the hotel zone is Ventura Park Nizuk, with water slides and a dolphinarium.

Cancun Beaches
Cancun is considered one of the best beach resorts in Mexico, and for good reason: its coastline stretches for over 20 kilometers, and all the beaches are free and accessible for recreation. The only fee tourists may encounter is $5-10 per day for a set of umbrellas and two lounge chairs. The white sand and turquoise water create incredibly beautiful scenery.

Cancun’s hotel zone is roughly divided into two parts: the “no waves” area and the “waves” area. These names are arbitrary, as storms can occur anywhere. Pay attention to the flags on the shore: green means swimming is permitted, while red means it is prohibited.
