Mauritius has been developing its tourism industry for many years, and while not cheap, it enjoys significant demand. This is no surprise: Mauritius boasts stunning beaches with soft sand and a unique underwater world that attracts divers from around the world. The island is also popular with honeymooners and couples celebrating their wedding anniversary.

Cap Malheureux is the northernmost point of Mauritius, home to the charming Notre-Dame-Oxyliatris Church. This temple is renowned for its unusual roof, unique carved wood interior, and a pool shaped like a giant shell.

Triole is a charming village known for its largest Hindu temple on the island, Maheswarnath Shivala. “Deer Island” attracts visitors with its beautiful beaches and clear lagoon, ideal for sailing. Scuba diving and water skiing.

Rose Hill is renowned for its educational center, home to numerous schools, colleges, and the University of Mauritius. This picturesque town is also known for its colonial buildings, Italianate architecture, theater, gallery, and the shopping arcades of the Arab quarter.

Curepipe, almost in the very center of the island, is home to King’s College, the town hall, numerous colonial buildings, and a botanical garden. It is always busy with shops and restaurants, especially during New Year’s celebrations and football matches. A great place to visit is Trou aux Cerfs, a dry volcano with a crater 85 meters deep and 200 meters wide. Six kilometers from Curepipe is the Black River Gorge National Park, home to numerous plant species and rare birds.

Mahebourg, located in Grand Port Bay, is renowned for its rich historical heritage. Tourists here are drawn to the Château Robillard with its National History Museum. Where antique maps, engravings, corsair swords, and artifacts from sunken ships are on display. It’s also worth strolling through the streets of this colorful, artificial town and visiting the candy factory and the Notre-Dame-des-Anges Church.

Souillac, a small village in the Savanes district, is known for its picturesque nature. Here you can visit the Telfair Garden, the Gris-Gris rocks with their whimsical shapes created by erosion, and the Rochester Falls.
