The Tignes resort consists of three main centers: Tignes-le-Lac, Lavache, and Val Claret. They are located around a picturesque lake and connected by modern lifts. Tignes is known not only for its pistes but also for its atmospheric slopeside cafes, vibrant nightclubs, and elegant restaurants where you can enjoy exquisite cuisine.
Tignes Pistes
Tignes boasts a summer halfpipe on the Grande Motte glacier and a winter fun park near the Palafour piste. Cross-country skiers will appreciate the 20 km of dedicated trails, including the longest, the 6-kilometer Brevières piste. The highest piste, located on a glacier at an altitude of 2,900 meters, is also 6 km long and is suitable for experienced skiers due to its difficulty.
The Swatch Snowpark features relocated rails and modules from the first Winter X Games. They also built a new Big Airbag, allowing for spectacular jumps with a soft landing on a special cushion. For the new season, the boardercross course has been extended to over 300 meters. A nice bonus: as a freestyler descends, their movements are broadcast on a large screen, and the video is recorded and later uploaded to the Swatch website.
At the Nissan Glide Park, you can take unique Multi-Burst photos, tackle a mini boardercross course, try an obstacle course, parallel slalom, a series of “woops,” and hone your skills on the Millonex rail and jump zone.
