Dubai travel guide

Dubai

Dubai is a city that constantly impresses and transforms! This largest metropolis in the UAE never ceases to amaze even those who visited it 7-10 years ago. Dubai presents new surprises to its residents and visitors every day. However, some things remain constant: the city’s striving for heights, amazing architecture, large-scale projects, incredible shopping, vibrant nightlife, and the desert from which this modern and cosmopolitan center of attraction emerged.

Entertainment and Attractions
Dubai is a vibrant, top-notch attraction, dynamically changing and full of diversity. When planning a short visit, it’s important to prioritize, as it’s impossible to cover all aspects of this city in a week, and you risk getting lost in the abundance of impressions.

The emirate’s main calling card is its skyscrapers, which constantly set new records. Dubai has nearly a thousand high-rise buildings, all of which can only be seen from an airplane window. But some deserve special attention. The city’s premier skyscraper is the Dubai World Trade Center, and, of course, the tallest building in the world, the 828-meter Burj Khalifa. It’s best to purchase tickets for its observation deck in advance. Also be sure to visit the twin towers of Emirates Park Tower, the tallest hotels, the Rose Tower and Burj Al Arab, and one of the tallest residential buildings in the world, Ocean Heights. The best views of these skyscrapers are at night, when the lights are on.

Ethnography and local culture enthusiasts will find much of interest in the old quarters of Deira, where you can wander the souks. In the Shingada district, you can see the bagdir windmills, which cooled the homes of sheikhs using desert winds. You can admire these windmills in action at the Sheikh Saeed House Museum, built of coral. In Bur Dubai, the Bastakiya district with its ancient Arabic architecture and the Al Fahidi Fort, which serves as the entrance to the Dubai National Museum, are worth visiting. For thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies, SkyDive Dubai is the perfect choice. This company organizes tandem skydiving over Dubai, gyrocopter flights, and training for beginners.

Those who prefer to stay grounded will love a jeep safari tour through the desert around Dubai. The tour includes camel rides, sand dune snowboarding, local cuisine, and, for an additional fee, a quad bike ride across the dunes.
