Guide to Seville

Seville is the tourist and administrative center of Andalusia. The main attractions of the city are located in the Santa Cruz district.

Cathedral
The Cathedral of Seville is a large Gothic complex, one of the largest in Europe. Entrance costs 9 euros. Inside you will see a golden altar, an organ, the tomb of Christopher Columbus, a collection of works of art. In the courtyard of the cathedral there is a garden with a fountain.

Bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville
The bell tower of the cathedral was built on the basis of the minaret of Abu Yusuf Yaqub in the 12th century. The ascent to the bell tower is gentle and without steps. Seville is very diverse and looks very unusual from above. Compared to classic European cities. Here on the roofs you can see paved courtyards, gardens, cafes and even swimming pools.

Alcazar of Seville
The Alcazar is a royal palace in Seville, built in the Arabic style. The entrance fee is 9.5 euros. Inside, there are several buildings decorated in different styles. Behind the museum are the royal gardens.

Santa Cruz District
In this district, on the streets of Meson Moro and Ximenez de Enciso, there are establishments where flamenco is danced daily. The streets and houses themselves are of interest to tourists. It is very pleasant to walk here in the midday heat. The narrow streets are almost never exposed to sunlight, and therefore it is always cool.

El Arenal District
The El Arenal district deserves special attention thanks to the Plaza de Toros, where one of the most famous traditional bullfighting arenas in Spain is located. There is also a bullfighting museum here.

Embankment in Seville
The embankment of the Guadalquivir River is an amazing place for a walk, but not in the midday heat. After sunset, everything comes alive and begins to bubble with life: singing and dancing, drinking beer and eating tapas.
