Avoriaz is a luxury ski resort in the French Alps.

Avoriaz, or “Avoria” as visitors call it, was first developed 40 years ago. With kilometers of pistes, five villages, snowboarding and skiing complexes, and countless cafes, Avoriaz is the hallmark of the Alps and the largest gathering place for snowboarders in the world.

Six hundred and fifty kilometers of pistes of the highest quality. Forty-two slopes: three green, twenty-one blue, fourteen red, and four black, with elevation changes ranging from one to two kilometers. Cable cars, T-bar lifts, chairlifts, gondolas, and cross-country ski trails—Avoriaz has it all.

The resort also offers Turkish baths, Russian and Finnish saunas, an ice rink, bowling, billiards, and a gym. And this is far from a complete list of the services offered by the Avoriaz resort.

The Avoriaz ski resort is located in the Portes du Soleil region. It’s a two-hour drive from Geneva Airport. You can also arrive by train; the nearest station is in Thonon Les Bains.

Avoriaz offers the cool winter slopes and the warmth of a fireplace, all in one place.
