It’s home to five of the city’s eight casinos, numerous hotels, recreation centers, shops, and more. The boardwalk also leads to one of the piers, where entertainment awaits. Steel Pier features an amusement park with slides, games, and food options. Garden Pier is known as a center of culture and the arts.

Atlantic City Attractions and Entertainment
Most of the city’s attractions are connected to the boardwalk in one way or another. The Atlantic City Historical Museum is located on the corner of the boardwalk and New Jersey Avenue. The Monopoly Monument is located on the corner of the boardwalk and Park Place. The Absecon Lighthouse on Rhode Island Avenue remains the tallest in New Jersey, built in 1857. Its summit offers stunning views of the Jersey coast.

On North Hampshire Avenue is the Atlantic City Aquarium and Ocean Life Center. It houses eight massive aquariums, artifacts from sunken ships, and more.

Entertainment in the city includes a wide variety of shows. It’s as if the city was created specifically for concerts and tours. Broadwalk Hall is the central venue where all the action happens. The most accessible show in the city is the Water Show at The Pier Shops, a large shopping center. This show features a play of colors, dancing fountains, and music.

The beach, adjacent to the downtown area, deserves special mention. Numerous resort hotels overlook it. You can swim, surf, or fish on the beach.
