Sunshine Peaks Ski Resort

Sunshine Peaks is a new, rapidly developing ski resort in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Canada is known for its stunning combination of well-developed infrastructure and virtually untouched nature.

The resort boasts numerous shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, and even authentic liquor stores. But if you’re looking for a more relaxing getaway, head to Vancouver. The city, founded in the 19th century, is named after the famous explorer George Vancouver, who discovered the island of the same name in the Pacific Ocean.

Active Recreation
You can visit a very good sports center or go on a hiking trip, where you’ll be amazed by the surrounding landscapes and feel like a hero from Jack London or James Curwood. And if you’re looking for a more “northern” experience, a truly Canadian activity awaits: dog sledding. But not everyone enjoys using “our smaller brothers,” and in that case, a snowmobile or sled might be just the ticket.

Slopes and Trails
Sunny Peaks consists of three mountains with a vertical drop of 3,000 meters. The slopes are always snow-covered, but since the resort strives to anticipate every eventuality, it has a snowmaking facility. Nancy Green, an Olympic champion and a national treasure, is the resort’s long-standing director and the brains behind it. Knowing alpine skiing inside out and having experienced the entire journey from the first descent to the highest level possible, she understands the needs and requirements of all levels of skiers visiting the resort.

The resort boasts 114 trails of varying difficulty levels—green, blue, black, and double black. But skiing isn’t the only thing guests can enjoy at the resort.

There are excellent trails for cross-country skiers here, with a total length of 40 km. Snowboarders can enjoy a fun park and a halfpipe.
