Holidays in Rhodes

Rhodes is one of the largest and most visited islands in Greece. Rhodes has a particularly pleasant climate, typically mild and cloudless during the holiday season. There are over 300 sunny days a year.

Most of Rhodes’ beaches are pebble; they are beautiful, clean, and perfect for swimming. Only during the high season does the island become overcrowded.

Rhodes Resorts
Although the island is small, only 30-40 km wide, it offers a wide variety of beaches and resorts, offering a relaxing holiday for both adventurers and retirees alike.

The ancient capital, the magnificent city of Rhodes, is located in the very north of the island and is home to the Colossus of Rhodes, the Palace of the Grand Masters, and numerous unique attractions.

Afandou Beach, the closest beach to the capital, is not only a beautiful place to relax but also a quality golf course.

Faliraki is the most active local resort. The nightlife here is vibrant, and thanks to the excellent water park, it’s also popular with families. Nearby, Kolymbia Beach is a great spot for snorkeling.

Lindos offers the perfect combination of a great beach holiday and exciting excursions. South of Lindos, Rhodes’ best beaches begin. This strip of beach paradise stretches for almost 30 km and ends at the southernmost resort, Prasonisi.

Beaches
The island is washed by two seas: the Aegean Sea to the west, with pebble beaches and frequent waves, and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, with sandy beaches and calm waters. In the south, Faliraki boasts the only official nudist beach in Rhodes. Generally, the island’s east coast is best suited for a traditional beach holiday, while the west is ideal for windsurfing. The eastern resorts are more developed and popular, which is why they are often crowded during the peak season.

Ladiko Beach is considered the most picturesque; it’s small with rocky areas. Another cozy beach is located in the south—a strip of sand from Gennadi to Prasonisi.
