Brighton – a beach town in the south of England

Brighton is located in the south of England, on the English Channel, just 80 km from London. Brighton is considered the most popular seaside resort in England.

In summer, crowds of sunbathers lounge on the town’s pebble beaches, immersed in the sounds of a variety of music. Brighton boasts a large number of boutique hotels, shops to suit every taste and budget, and trendy restaurants, while the local nightclubs and bars outshine their competitors in London and Manchester.

Cuisine
Brighton’s restaurants serve delicious food, especially vegetarian options. The Lanes is home to the best “green” restaurant, Food for Friends. English’s is renowned for its excellent seafood, and The Grays is ranked eleventh on the list of the best pubs in the UK.

Brighton Beaches
Brighton Beach, a local beach, has been awarded a Blue Flag. There’s also a nudist beach south of the eastern part of Kemptown. Behind the marina, there’s a designated surfing beach with good waves.

Brighton Attractions and Entertainment
St. Bartholomew’s Church, one of the tallest in Europe, is located on Ann Street. Also be sure to visit the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, the Natural History Museum, the Toy Museum, and the Fisheries Museum. Visit the magnificent Royal Pavilion, a complex of several halls on the seafront built to entertain George IV in the early 19th century.

Events
Each May, Brighton hosts the Brighton Festival, the second largest arts festival in the UK.
