Lugano – A Swiss Diamond

Lugano is a lakeside town in the Italian part of Switzerland. For vacationers, the lakeside offers several recreational areas for swimming and water sports, including windsurfing, paragliding, sailing, and water skiing.

Lugano Attractions
The town’s main attractions include the Palazzo Civico, which often hosts open-air concerts, the Villa Malpensata, the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, and the Church of San Rocco.

The Cantonal Museum of Art is located in the heart of Lugano. It plays an important role in the cultural life of the Tessin family, housing a collection of masterpieces by Italian Swiss artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. In the neighboring town of Melide, there’s the children’s park “Switzerland in Miniature.” Here, on several hectares, you can see all the landmarks of Switzerland at a scale of 1:25.

Park Ciani, near the town center, is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful parks in Switzerland. It features a large collection of subtropical flora, exotic plants, roses, palms, azaleas, and Mediterranean vegetation.
