Ružomberok, a small town in the renowned Slovakian region known as Dolní Liptov, is surrounded by the snow-capped Low Tatra and Great Fatra mountains, as well as two rivers, the Váha and Revúca, making it a popular ski resort with affordable prices.
The winter season in Malino Brdo begins in December and ends at the end of March. During this time of year, a free ski bus service is launched, helping tourists reach the ski slopes.

Among them are the thermal spring in Bešeňová, open for swimming year-round; the Liptovská Mara Reservoir; the archaeological village of Zápolye; the stalactite caves in the Demänová Valley Nature Reserve; the ancient Oravský Podzámok Castle with exhibits dedicated to the lives of medieval feudal lords; and the Zuberec Village Museum, located in the Western Tatras mountain range, which sheds light on the everyday life of the inhabitants of the Orava region.
Also, just 20 km from Ružomberok is the famous Evangelical Church, one of the largest in Europe.
