Sanremo – the most luxurious resort on the Ligurian coast

Sanremo is a luxury resort on the western coast of Liguria, dotted with palm trees and a variety of boutiques. Here you can enjoy elegant parks and gardens filled with tropical vegetation, and experience the festive and fun atmosphere of the luxurious casino. However, it’s worth remembering that Sanremo is a true city with all its attributes, including traffic noise and other characteristics of city life.

Beaches
Sanremo boasts well-equipped beaches with sand and pebbles and a variety of hotels, many of which are housed in elegant palatial buildings. These hotels stand alongside modern two- and three-star hotels and numerous residences located on the second and third lines of the beach. Roads run between the beaches and the hotels.

Entertainment and Attractions in Sanremo
One of the city’s greatest jewels is the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The famous Sanremo Casino, built in 1905, is located close to the cathedral, where visitors can still try their luck.

Also worth visiting is Alfred Nobel’s villa, where the renowned Swedish chemist and businessman spent the last year of his life. Guided group tours are available for 5 EUR.

Also worth visiting is the ancient heart of the city, the La Pinia quarter, located north of Corso Matteotti.

Another landmark is Villa Hanbury with its botanical garden, home to over 5,800 species of tropical plants.

Finally, the Civic Museum offers small but interesting exhibits, including both prehistoric and Roman artifacts, as well as temporary exhibitions. Particularly noteworthy is Maurizio Carrega’s 1808 painting “Gloria di San Napoleone” and the bronze statues by Franco Bargigi.
