Also noteworthy are the Aarhus Art Museum, one of the largest in Northern Europe, and the Women’s Museum. A special attraction is the Old Town Museum, which houses over 50 typical Danish buildings, built between 1597 and 1909, from various cities. This museum is a unique open-air museum village, fully equipped with all necessary infrastructure, including restaurants and shops.
You can also relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape in the Botanical Garden, founded in 1875 and located north of the historic city. The garden impresses with its diversity, housing over a thousand plant species. Visitors can also enjoy the tropical greenhouses, where guided tours are offered.
The city is also home to the renowned Tivoli Friheden amusement park. Thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies should try the “Hurricane” ride, where you can flip upside down, while those who enjoy speed and sharp turns will love the “Typhoon.” And those who want to experience a free fall at 90 km/h can climb the 40-meter Sky Tower and jump off it.
