Ahtopol is Bulgaria’s sunniest resort

Ahtopol is popular among locals due to its sparse population, the lack of foreign tourists, its pleasant climate, and affordable prices.

Ahtopol is ideal for a relaxing holiday, enjoying the sun and sea, swimming, strolling along the beautifully landscaped promenade, and admiring the stunning marine and plant landscapes.

Entertainment, Excursions, Attractions
Many tourists are drawn to the attractions within the city limits. Of particular interest are the Church of the Ascension and the Anchor Museum. The Church of the Ascension is a modest one-story building composed of stones of various sizes interspersed with wooden slats. Inside, Byzantine-style frescoes cover the entire building. Near the church, at 3 Neptuna Street, is an open-air museum where tourists can see anchors of various sizes and shapes recovered from the bottom of Ahtopol Bay. Strandzha Nature Park

Located on a mountain 300 meters above sea level, Strandzha Nature Park is considered a unique reserve, home to over 100 rare plants and animals, including the Balkan and Mediterranean tortoises, which are under special protection. Trees up to 500 years old can be found in the park: their dense branches and leaves form a dense canopy, providing excellent cooling on hot days. Strandzha is divided into 14 zones, which require more than one day to explore.

In addition to unique natural features, the park is home to several villages where you can watch the world-famous Nestinar dances performed on hot coals.
