What to see in Bernkastel-Kues.
The best attraction in Bernkastel-Kues is the Market Square, surrounded by a complex of half-timbered houses.

Of these houses, the oldest, the Heinzhaus, stands out with its original design, built in 1588, and the small, pointed, slightly tilted Spitzhäuschen, built in 1416. The Spitzhäuschen is an example of an old Mosel winemaker’s house with a wine cellar.

The Market Square features a fountain dedicated to St. Michael, built in 1606, and the beautiful Renaissance Town Hall.

The Catholic Church of St. Michael and St. Sebastian is located near the banks of the Mosel. The church is notable for its stone bell tower, which was once a defensive tower.

Graacher Tor is a city gate built in 1300 and the only one remaining to this day. It now serves as a local history museum.
