Courchevel impresses with its diversity of pistes and untouched ski slopes. The resort’s unique layout allows for new routes to be discovered every day, avoiding repetition even over long vacations. Beginners especially appreciate this resort, as it offers numerous wide, smooth green and blue runs, ideal for learning and comfortable skiing.
Pistes
Beginners are best off learning to ski in the Pralon and Bellecôte ski areas, where long, gentle runs are available. The area beneath the Jardin Alpin lift offers numerous green and blue runs, ideal for first steps on the slopes.
Intermediate skiers will appreciate the pistes in the La Vizelle area, especially the red runs of Creux and Marmotte. The picturesque Bouc Blanc run, which winds through the forest and ends in La Tania, is a particular delight. The black runs of Pyramide and Grandes Bousses, although classified as difficult, are more like red runs with a slightly higher level of difficulty.
For experienced skiers, the steep descents from the Saulire resort offer a real challenge. The Col du Pass du Lac, Grand Coulois, and Les Avals are particularly notable here. From the Col de la Loze resort, two exciting black runs, approximately 1.5 km long, descend to an altitude of 1,300 m. The slopes of the Les Praz area, hidden in the forest, are especially suitable for skiing in poor visibility.
Courchevel also offers a variety of activities for freestylers: a halfpipe, a snow park, over 500 snow cannons, and 65 modern lifts. The resort’s longest run stretches for 3.9 km, offering endless opportunities to conquer the Alpine slopes.
