Golden Sands is a small resort town with everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday. It boasts numerous beaches, a variety of hotels, water parks, thermal springs, and wellness centers to satisfy every tourist’s needs.
Golden Sands Beaches
The beach at Golden Sands is impressive, stretching along the entire length of the resort. The sand is fine-grained, the entry into the sea is not as shallow as at other resorts such as Sunny Beach or Albena, and waves are occasionally encountered. The resort’s infrastructure is well-developed: you can enjoy water sports, relax in a café, play on children’s or sports playgrounds, and swim under the supervision of lifeguards.
If you prefer more secluded beaches, choose spots closer to the outskirts of the resort. However, nudists may be present, so be prepared.
Entertainment and Attractions
Golden Sands is a young resort, so it doesn’t boast a wealth of attractions. Its heritage list includes only a few highlights, including an ancient monastery and a national park with its picturesque forests.
The Aladzha Rock Monastery impresses with its unusual location on a vertical cliff. Christian hermits lived in this monastery for centuries, until it was sacked by the Ottoman Turks. Today, it houses a museum.
One of the most important attractions of Golden Sands is the picturesque forests of the national park, which encompasses the entire resort. Tourists will not be bored here, as local authorities have established several hiking trails of varying difficulty, complete with rest areas, observation platforms, and drinking fountains. There are special trails for children, cyclists, senior citizens, and the disabled, and guides are also available for hire.
