Among Granada’s other historical monuments, the Renaissance-era Granada Cathedral stands out. Adjacent to the Cathedral is the Royal Chapel, the burial place of the Catholic Monarchs Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon.

The caves of Sacromonte host some of the best flamenco performances. This district, located on one of Granada’s three hills, is known for its whitewashed houses and caves dug several centuries ago.

Granada hosts a wide range of cultural events, including tango, jazz, music, dance, film, and theater festivals.

Granada’s cuisine is a blend of Andalusian and Arabic and Jewish influences. A traditional Granadan dish is the Olla de San Antón soup. Other typical dishes include salty bean breads, the famous tortilla del Sacromonte, and the Granadan salad remojón, made with cod and orange.
