Located in the French Alps at altitudes between 1,250 and 3,250 meters, La Plagne is a high-altitude winter resort of the highest quality, attracting skiers and snowboarders from around the world.
The resort is located 196 km from Lyon, between Val d’Isère and Albertville along the Isère River valley.
La Plagne is the general name of the resort, which consists of several villages at varying altitudes, comprising 12 stations.
The highlight of this resort is skiing right outside the hotel doors. For the most experienced and adventurous skiers, there are numerous powder slopes that will provide unforgettable experiences. Lifts extend in all directions, offering runs of varying difficulty, including those for beginners. Intermediate skiers will find the best conditions and a wide selection. Because everyone has different desires and needs, La Plagne offers the widest possible selection of accommodation, services, and entertainment. La Plagne boasts numerous cozy bars and restaurants, nightclubs, discos, cinemas, shops, and ski and snowboard schools for children and adults.
In the winter of 2005, La Plagne added new snow parks for professionals, a permanently open big air, and a halfpipe. They also introduced the “Hands-Free” system, which automatically reads information from lift passes.
The ski season in La Plagne begins in mid-December and runs through the end of April.
