Skiing in Madonna di Campiglio
The highest ski area, known as Groste, is located at an altitude of 2,500 meters. Lifts departing from the hotels provide access to four main slopes: Cinca Laghi, Groste, Pradalago, and Monte Spinale. Almost half of all runs are rated blue. They vary in length, slope, and overall difficulty. Most of the blue runs are located on the Pradalago slope, as well as in the Groste and Monte Spinale areas.

Entertainment and Attractions
Most of Madonna di Campiglio’s attractions are natural attractions. The town is located in the heart of the Adamello-Brenta National Park, renowned for its diverse flora and fauna. It is also known for its brown bears, the park’s symbol. Numerous hiking trails wind around the resort, along which you can admire mountain rivers and waterfalls, alpine meadows, and the ruins of castles, fortresses, and churches.

The area around Madonna is also home to many mountain lakes, the most famous of which is Lake Tovel. It is nicknamed “Red Lake” due to the microalgae that color its waters during the bloom.

However, this unique phenomenon is now impossible to observe, as the last bloom was observed in the mid-1960s.

The resort’s central square offers a beautiful view of the mountain slopes, dominated by the Alpine-style rooftops. Active recreation opportunities aren’t limited to skiing and snowboarding. Local tour operators offer snow safaris, mountain horseback riding, dog sledding, and other activities. For extreme sports enthusiasts, there’s a paragliding center, while those seeking more relaxed pursuits can enjoy a golf course, bowling alley, tennis courts, and a squash court.
