Perth Attractions

Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is one of the most remote administrative centers in the world. Here you’ll find miles of pristine beaches, numerous national parks, and breathtaking natural beauty.

Perth Attractions and Entertainment
One of the main attractions in Perth is the ocean and its beaches, with all their variety, from simply lounging on the sandy shore to thrilling flights in two-seater planes over the coastline. Among the most comfortable and safe beaches are North Beach, Sorrento Beach, and City Beach. Cottesloe Beach is also wonderful for swimming, but caution is required due to underwater currents near the breakwaters. Scarborough and Trigg are ideal for surfing.

To enjoy the beauty of uninhabited beaches and spot wallabies, we recommend visiting Rottnest Island, 19 km from Perth. Private transport is prohibited on the island, but a bus service and bicycle rentals are available. In the Rottnest area, divers can explore shipwrecks.

Perth Zoo boasts over 2,000 animals from 280 species, primarily native to the area. Kangaroos and wombats can be seen at Caversham Wildlife Park, while Cohunu Wildlife Park is home to numerous koalas. Fans of cold-blooded animals are recommended to visit the Armadale Reptile Centre and its large aquarium.

Central Perth boasts several significant architectural landmarks worth exploring. These include Governor’s House, surrounded by beautiful gardens; Parliament House and the City Hall; St. George’s Cathedral; and the Perth Mint, where precious metals are still processed.

For outdoor exploration within the city, visit one of Perth’s four parks: Allen Green Conservatory with its rich collection of tropical plants; Burswood Park; the 400-hectare Kings Park; or the Botanic Gardens.
