Phangan is the most youth resort in Thailand

The Thai island of Phangan is deservedly considered the Asian analogue of the Spanish Ibiza. This island, located in the South China Sea, became known to the whole world thanks to the famous Full Moon Party, which is held every month at the full moon on the 5-kilometer Haad Rin beach. A few days before this event, young people from Europe, the USA, Australia and Canada flock to the island to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of night dancing and fun.

Entertainment and attractions
After noisy beach parties on Phangan, you can relax by visiting Tan Sadet-Ko Phangan National Park, which got its name from the Tan Sadet River. The park has the largest and most picturesque waterfall on the island, which was repeatedly visited by Thai kings, including Rama V, who visited it 14 times.

In the northwest of Phangan, there is a place called Koh Ma, which is excellent for snorkeling. Not far from the road between Thongsala and Chaloklum, you can find a beautiful Chinese temple with a stunning view of Chaloklum Bay.

It is also worth visiting the elephant camp located on the way from Baan Tai to Ton Nai Pan. In addition, on Phangan you can practice yoga, kiteboarding on sandbars, go trekking through the jungle or take a sea walk along wild beaches. Snorkeling at the neighboring island of Koh Ma, which can be reached via a sandbank, will also leave an unforgettable impression. For lovers of diving, Sail Rock and Antonong National Park with picturesque small islands will be ideal.

Phangan is also known for its many tattoo parlors, where you can get a quality and inexpensive tattoo. But it should not be confused with “Panganese tattoo” – a local slang expression for bruises and scratches, often obtained as a result of accidents on motorbikes.

The island is famous for many parties: Half Moon, Black Moon, Full Moon, Shiva Moon family, Jungle Experience and Pool party – this is only a small part of the events that take place here.

For lovers of diving, there is Sail Rock, located between the islands of Phangan and Koh Tao. This is one of the best places for diving with a reef extending to a depth of up to 40 meters, suitable for divers of different levels.
