Santorini Holidays

Santorini is an archipelago of five islands: Thirasia, Nea Kameni, Palea Kameni, Aspronisi, and Santorini in the Aegean Sea. The islands offer stunning landscapes, incredible architecture, and impeccable service.

Main Resorts of Santorini
Santorini boasts several resorts, each beautiful in its own way. Fira, the capital of the archipelago, is perched on the slope of a sheer cliff approximately 260 meters above sea level. Two colors predominate here: white, the color of the Cycladic houses, and deep blue—the hue of the sea and sky.

The capital’s main attractions include the Museum of Prehistory, the Ethnographic Museum, and the island’s signature church, Agiou Mina.

Imerovigli, with a population of 470, is another cozy resort on Santorini. This is a popular destination for those seeking a secluded and tranquil getaway. It boasts numerous churches in the typical Greek style, as well as the ruins of the ancient Venetian castle of Skaros.

The most romantic resort in the archipelago is Oia. Cars are prohibited there. The western side offers beautiful views of Ammoudi Bay, and the eastern side overlooks Armeni Bay. You can relax on the beach during the day and visit one of the many cafes in the evening.

Kamari is also gaining popularity among tourists and is an ideal spot for a beach holiday. Kamari’s coastline is sandy and pebbly, with smooth black volcanic sand.

Santorini Beaches
Due to Santorini’s volcanic past and the rich mineral content of the local soil, the sand along the coast has a wide range of shades: from soft milky to pink, red, and even black.

The best beaches are in Kamari, with Perissa Beach standing out. Kamari’s beaches have all the necessary amenities, from restrooms to changing cabins. The Blue Flag indicates the cleanliness and safety of the coastline. Along the beach is a pedestrian area with numerous shops, cafes, and bars.

Perissa’s beaches are uncrowded; high cliffs protect the 8-kilometer coastline from the wind. The water is crystal clear, and the seabed is rocky.

Monolithos Beach, with its fine, soft sand and gentle entry into the sea, is ideal for families with children. There’s a playground and several cafes here.

Those seeking exotic experiences should visit the coastline near Akrotiri. The landscapes here are otherworldly: emerald seas lap black sand, surrounded by sheer red cliffs. Nearby is White Beach, paved with light-colored pumice stones, but it’s only accessible by boat. Red Beach has excellent infrastructure, while White Beach offers only sun lounger rentals and a food stand.
