Scuol is located 60 km from St. Moritz at an altitude of 1,250 meters above sea level. The local population still speaks the ancient Rhaeto-Romanic language, the fourth official language of Switzerland. The resort is famous for being a popular holiday destination for the Swiss. It is also home to unique springs rich in Glauber’s salts.
Scuol’s Slopes
Interesting and high-quality skiing is guaranteed by 16 lifts and 80 km of slopes. The southern slopes of Mota Naluns offer compact, varied terrain with excellent snow cover. Experienced skiers are drawn to the giant slalom slopes at Mota da Ri and Campatsch. The large snow valley at the foot of Campatsch is ideal for those who prefer to switch from skis to snowboards and those who prefer freeriding.
Scuol boasts a 12-kilometer-long “Dream Run” (red), which runs from the Salaniva slope to Scuol. Its name is well-deserved: the spacious terrain is ideal for wide turns.
Snowboarders also have plenty to enjoy in the Genvray area, including a fun park with a halfpipe and the longest boardercross course in Switzerland.
You’ll also find 2 kilometers of carving slopes, a kilometer-long mogul run, 4 kilometers of toboggan runs, 70 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails, and 79 kilometers of winter hiking trails.
