Although it does not feature instruments belonging to the legendary musicians, the museum does feature rare and valuable models. Another iconic attraction is the Västerbotten Museum, which includes both indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Visitors can see ancient churches, barns, mills, and cellars. The museum’s crowning glory is the oldest skis in the world, which predate the Egyptian pyramids.

Contemporary art enthusiasts will also find much to discover in Umeå. The Biltmuseum regularly hosts exhibitions by renowned artists. Another unique attraction is the Umedalens Sculpture Park, where impressive art objects harmoniously coexist with picturesque birch and spruce trees.

The Nordland Opera is the city’s cultural center. In addition to musical performances, the venue hosts exhibitions, workshops, and other events that attract creative people from all over Sweden.
