Winter Holidays in the Arlberg Region

This small village on the border of Tyrol and Vorarlberg used to be just a stopover for tourists. But the excellent slopes, abundant snow, and good winter weather have made this place a favorite among winter sports enthusiasts.

Arlberg Ski Resorts
The Arlberg region encompasses the following ski areas:
St. Anton is a world-renowned resort; in 2001, it hosted the Alpine Ski World Championships.

Lech and Oberlech are located in a beautiful Alpine valley. These resorts carefully honor and preserve their traditions.

Zürs is a secular and cozy resort, often visited by celebrities skiing.
St. Christoph is a cozy corner of the Arlberg, a very picturesque and unique resort. It is here that the best Austrian hotels are located.

Stuben, the birthplace of ski pioneer Hannes Schneider, is a small town at the western foot of the mountain.

They all share a common ski pass, a wide selection of skiing equipment, and excellent freeriding opportunities. A free ski bus runs between the villages.

Arlberg Attractions
The most interesting things about Arlberg are the mountains and skiing. Other attractions are few, but they do exist. Two charming churches—St. James’s and St. Anthony’s—are worth a visit. Arlberg also boasts the Arlberg Ski and Local History Museum.

In the summer, the local Verwohl reservoir, surrounded by mountain slopes, is a popular destination.

Other recreational activities include a golf course, a gym, an ice rink and curling center, tennis and squash courts, swimming pools, bowling, restaurants, bars, shops, nightclubs, and much more.
